    • married to Jean BLACKLOCK, daughter of Thomas Blacklock,

      They had the following children:

      • Thomas B. WELCH  who went to California
      • David I. WELCH born 1856 New Brunswick who became a well known and successful lawyer in Moncton
      • William F. WELCH born Jun 9, 1852 in New Brunswick who lived on a farm in Shemogue. He died Nov 9, 1895, and is buried Murray Corner "Pioneer" Cemetery NE of Port Elgin, on Route 955 (Botsford Parish, N.B.). He married Helen A. <unknown> who was born 1864, and died July 16, 1891. She is buried Murray Corner "Pioneer" Cemetery NE of Port Elgin, on Route 955 (Botsford Parish, N.B.).  They had a daughter Jessie H. Welch 1886 - Jan 15, 1889. She is buried Murray Corner "Pioneer" Cemetery NE of Port Elgin, on Route 955 (Botsford Parish, N.B.).
      • John H. WELCH born 1860 in New Brunswick who removed to Western Canada
      • Jessie A. WELCH born 1858 in New Brunswick who married the late Job S. PEACOCK of Murray Corner. death notice for JOB SEAMAN PEACOCK, (M), 25 January 1933, WE, F18988 Vol. 085 #085081

        They had the following children:

Welch
E. A. Welch was among the early settlers in Little Shemogue where he became a well known farmer. He married Jean Blacklock, daughter of Thomas Blacklock, who came to New Brunswick in 1821. Their family consisted of four sons and three daughters. The sons were Thomas B. Welch who went to California, David I. Welch who became a well known and successful lawyer in Moncton, William who lived on a farm in Shemogue and John who removed to Western Canada. The daughters were Jessie who married the late Job S. Peacock of Murray Corner, Susan who became the wife of Edward Robinson of Little Shemogue, and Helen Welch who resides in Boston. Peter Welch and John Welch of Great Shemogue were brothers of E. A. Welch.
